Guy Ritchie is clearly a no-nonsense kind of guy. Early on in their relationship, he took Madge over to meet his mum, who cooked them fish fingers and peas. Word also has it that on his first date with Madge, she wailed about having to walk to meet him and he was actually unsympathetic. Seems this kind of treatment was just what the Queen of Pop needed. She married him in 2000, had baby Rocco shortly after and became lady of her own Wiltshire country home.
On December 22, 2000, Madonna and Ritchie were married in Scotland. Madonna filed for divorce from Ritchie in October 2008. A preliminary decree of divorce was granted Friday, November 21, 2008, and became final on Friday, January 2, 2009.
