Clint married model and fellow college student Maggie Johnson six months after being set up on a blind date on December 19, 1953. They had two children: Kyle in 1968 and Alison in 1972. A few years after they split, Maggie filed for legal separation in 1978. They finalized their divorce in 1984. In 1994, their grandaughter Graylen was born to Kyle and his wife Laura. Clint and Maggie are still friendly and both live in Carmel within a short distance of each other. The family often gets together during holidays.
