Mickey Rourke Still Misses Ex Carre Otis

Actor Mickey Rourke is still suffering from the pain of his divorce from ex-wife Carre Otis - 10 years after they split.

The Sin City star married Otis in 1992 after starring together in movie Wild Orchid.

The pair had a tumultuous relationship, which saw Rourke accused of domestic abuse and Otis admitting to being a heroine addict. They eventually divorced in 1998.

But Rourke confesses he has never fully recovered from the love split - despite their difficult partnership.

When asked if he still pines for Otis, he says, "Pine? No, there`s got to be a worse word than that. Not being here would have been much, much easier. It was something really special, but it was just fire on fire."

Rourke is convinced he will never find another woman to match up to Otis` standards - but since the death of his brother Joe in 2004, he no longer holds out hopes of a reconciliation.

He adds, "I waited 10 years for her to come back, until Joe died. And when Joe died I stopped waiting for her. I won`t compromise. Carre was thunder and lightning. If I can`t have thunder and lighting then I won`t have anything. It`ll be a one-night stand here and there, but I`m not going to compromise. I can`t."
