Add "parent" to her active resume: Actress Busy Philipps and her screenwriter husband, Marc Silverstein, have welcomed a baby girl, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.
Birdie Leigh Silverstein was born Wednesday and weighed in at 9 lbs., 7 oz. She was 21 ½ inches long.
Philipps, 29, who taped episodes of The Sarah Connor Chronicles while in her third trimester, told PEOPLE that she loved being pregnant – and the perks that came along with it.
"I wanted strawberry milkshakes like nobody`s business," said the former Dawson`s Creek actress in April, adding that she planned to work hard to lose the weight after the baby was born.
"I`ll make it happen," she said. "I`m not just gonna say it all fell off from breastfeeding!"
